The registration process mainly includes company name pre-approval, drafting and notarising the articles of association, opening a bank account and depositing the share capital, submitting the registration application to the Commercial Registry Court, and applying for a tax number with the tax authority. Since 2008, Hungary has required all applications submitted to the Commercial Registry Court to be filed electronically by a lawyer. With complete documents, the registration period takes approximately 2–3 months, excluding document courier, notarisation and apostille time.
