A bank account shall be opened with a local Peruvian bank for depositing the initial capital.

A capital verification certificate issued by the financial institution is required, and the full capital must be fully paid prior to registration.

A minimum of 2 shareholders is required, who may be natural persons or legal entities without nationality restrictions.

There is no statutory minimum registered capital, yet USD 500 to 1,000 is recommended.

Stock Corporation (S.A. or S.A.C.)

A minimum of two shareholders is required (the maximum number of shareholders for S.A.C. is 20).

The registered capital must be paid up and registered. At least 25% shall be contributed upon incorporation, and the remaining 75% shall be fully settled within two years. The recommended minimum capital is 1,000 soles (approximately USD 250 to 270).
