Submit an online application via the official website of the Registrar General's Department of Ghana; approved names will be reserved for 30 days.

Shareholders
At least one shareholder is required, who may be a natural person or a corporate shareholder.

Directors
A minimum of two directors is required, including at least one local resident director.

Registered Capital
The minimum share capital for consulting service businesses is USD 500,000 (USD 1,000,000 is required for retail businesses). Stamp duty equivalent to 1% of the share capital shall be paid upon registration.

This is the most common type of company, where shareholders' liability is limited to their capital contributions. Company names shall generally end with "Limited" or "Ltd".

Public Limited Company(PLC)
It may offer shares to the general public and its name must end with "Plc". It is subject to stricter corporate governance and information disclosure requirements. A minimum of seven shareholders and three directors is required, including at least one local resident director.

Unlimited Company
Shareholders bear unlimited liability for the company's debts, and this type of entity is rarely adopted.
