Shareholder Requirements
A minimum of one shareholder is required with no nationality restrictions. If the legal representative is a foreign national, he/she must hold a valid Ecuadorian residence visa and physically reside in Ecuador.

Registered Capital
There is no minimum registered capital requirement normally. Nevertheless, if the company plans to employ foreign staff, the registered capital shall be no less than USD 12,500 and fully paid within two years.

    Submit the pre-selected company names to the Superintendency of Companies, Securities and Insurance of Ecuador.

    Apply for the RUC tax identification number from the tax bureau and obtain the business license.
