Company names must end with Limited or LTD. They shall not contain misleading or offensive words such as "Royal", "Government", "Insurance", "Bank", "Medicine" and other restricted terms.

At least one shareholder (natural person or corporate entity, no nationality restrictions) and one director (local resident; our firm can provide nominee director service).

There are generally no restrictions on business scope. Normally, only one main category or 2‑3 sub‑categories can be selected, subject to official government approval upon registration.

Bank Account Opening
Bank‑account opening requires the physical presence of the New Zealand‑based company director. Therefore, it is recommended to appoint only local directors during company registration and bank‑account setup. Foreign directors may be added after registration and bank‑account opening are completed.

This is a business operated by a single individual. All net income is taxed under personal‑income‑tax rules. For income below 48,000 New Zealand Dollars, the top tax rate stands at 17.5%, offering a tax advantage compared with the 28% corporate‑income‑tax rate.
